C14-15 Alcohols are mainly used as Emulsion stabilizer as they change the surface tension of water/ oil mixes to enable them to be mixed. Therefore they stabilize the emulsion for optimized product performance over shelf-life. In Conditioners it also improves hair feel by reducing tangles and increasing softness of the hair.

C8-9 Isoparaffin is mainly used as viscosity adjuster and solvent. We use it in some of our products, i.e. Hair Make-up, to make them easily applicable and safe during use.

Caffeine enhances the appearance of dry or damaged skin by reducing flaking and restoring suppleness.In our products it's used as it is also known as a hair growth supporting ingredient.

Calcium Aluminum Borosilicate is a solid, dry, not reactive ingredient and does not penetrate skin.We use this shimmering powder in Hair make-up and styling sprays to impart a gorgeous shimmer to the hair.

Calcium Carbonate functions as abrasive, that means it removes materials from the surface of the skin and scalp, helps clean teeth and improves shine.As pH Buffer it is used to buffer and adjust the pH of a formulation to ensure the product's pH is at a desired level for product stability and consumer safety. As Bulking ingredient and Opacifier it reduces the apparent density of products respectively the transparency or translucency of cosmetic products.It is also used as a white dye pigment under the reference of CI 77220.

Calcium Pantothenate we use in Combination with other ingredients in scalp recovery/detox shampoos, conditioners and peelings as it improves the shine, the feel and the flexibility of the hair. It also helps to moisturize and protect the hair against mechanical damage and in general makes the hair more resistant to environmental stresses due to its anti-oxidant properties.

Camellia Oleifera Seed Oil is mainly used as hair conditioner and antistatic. As hair conditioner it helps to increase the softness or smoothness of hair, reduce tangles and surface roughness. As antistatic cosmetic ingredient, it reduces static electricity by neutralizing electrical charge on a surface of the hair. This helps to prevent frizz that is caused by static.

Camellia Sinensis Leaf Extract (White Tea) functions mainly as antioxidant. White Tea contains a number of bioactive chemicals, it is particularly rich in catechins. Catechins and their derivatives are thought to contribute to the beneficial effects ascribed to Tea. Tea catechins and polyphenols are effective scavengers of reactive oxygen species in vitro and functions indirectly as antioxidant.

Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride is mainly used as hair conditioner in our products. It helps to increase the softness or smoothness of hair, reduce tangles and surface roughness. Caprylic Capric Triglyceride is an efficient solvent and therefore acts as carrier for fat-soluble vitamins and actives. Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride may also be used to help solubilize actives that are not readily soluble in traditional carrier oils.In skin care applications, Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride offers a noticeable silkiness in products, offers skin nurturing benefits due to the skin loving nature of the specific fatty acid ester, not seen with common Fractionated Coconut Oil, or other carrier oils.

Caprylyl Glycol has antimicrobial efficacy and improves that of traditional preservatives. It works also as hair conditioner as it helps to increase the softness or smoothness of hair, reduce tangles and hair surface roughness. Moreover it is an effective humectant (retains water) and emollient (softens the skin) providing a unique feeling on the skin. For this reasons, it is used in a multitude of cosmetic products.

Caramel is used as color additive in Hair Colorants to create a warm dark blond to light brown shade with gold reflections.Commonly Caramel adds a brown color to cosmetics and personal care products as well as in foods an drinks.

Carbomers help to distribute or suspend an insoluble solid in a liquid. They are also used to avoid emulsions separating into their oil and liquid components. Carbomers are often used to control the consistency and flow of cosmetics and personal care products.

Carbon Dioxide is used as propellant to expel products from aerosols through the nozzle under pressure.

Carmine is a bright red pigment made from cochineal. Carmine is used as a red pigment in hair dyes and colors.

Carthamus Tinctorius (Safflower) Seed Oil has been used for many ailments including baldness and hair loss. We use it in formulations of Conditioner, Hair Masks and styling applications as the richness of polyunsaturated fatty acids makes it perfect for dry, relaxed, or color-treated hair. It is light and has the ability to penetrate the skin easily and it's known, when applied to the scalp, to act as a vasodilator, which can dilate the blood vessels, resulting in more nutrients supply to the hair follicles through blood circulation, and a healthy environment for hair regrowth. In addition the hair will also be protected and look nourished, hydrated, and stronger. Commonly it is used mainly in cosmetics and food industry.

Cassia Auriculata is in some of our semi-permanent Hair Colorants where it imparts a golden shimmer to gray hair. It adds shine, thickens and strengthens hair. It was also experienced less shedding and less breakage after usage. For the scalp it provides anti-fungal properties that helps to relieve itchiness and dandruff.Commonly the flowers, leaves, stems, roots, and unripe fruits are used for treatment, especially in Ayurvedic medicine.

Cellulose Gum is a naturally occurring component found in the cell walls of plants. It forms structured solutions in aqueous products and it is a suspension aid and stabilizer in anti-dandruff shampoos. In emulsions it has a high water binding capacity and hence it helps to keep product stable over shelf - life without performance loss.

'Centella Asiatica Extract has an ancient history as a ‘healing herb’, a ‘cure-all’ product as it has shown (amongst others) to be anti-bacterial, anti-viral, neuro-protective and tonifying. Therefore the material has a wide spectrum of medicinal and therapeutically uses. When infused in oil it can be used as skin treatment and rubbed into the scalp as a hair tonic.

Ceresin and other waxes thicken lipid (oil) portion of cosmetics and personal care products and help keep emulsions from separating into their oil and liquid components. These waxes lessen the brittleness of stick products and add strength and stability.In our products we use Ceresin instead of Beeswax in our leave-on Conditioners, styling creams and non-aerosol sprays as it provides antistatic, emulsion stabilizing and hair conditioning properties.

Cereus Grandiflorus (Cactus) Flower Extract is used in a botanical blend in some of our products. As it contains an high amount of flavonoids it is known to help to prevent hair loss by reducing the 5-α-reductase. Further the anti-oxidant potential helps the healthy sebum in the scalp. In Skincare Cactus Flower Extract is used as it contains antioxidants, has astringent properties and can contribute to cell renewal which helps keep the skin looking fresh.

Ceteareth-20 helps other ingredients to dissolve in a solvent in which they would not normally dissolve and cleans the skin and hair by helping water to mix with oil and dirt so that these substances can be rinsed away.

Cetearyl Alcohol is widely used in our products. Together with other ingredients it helps to form an emulsion and keeps it from separating into its oil and water soluble components. Moreover it also acts as hair conditioner. It helps to increase the softness or smoothness of hair, reduce tangles and hair surface roughness.

Cetearyl Nonanoate is used to increase the softness or smoothness of hair, reduce tangles and hair surface roughness. Moreover it gives formulas a velvety and silky feeling.

Ceteth-10 Phosphate is an anionic emulsifier used both to keep the product consistency stable over time and across a range of storage temperatures. In colorants is is used to maintain consistency across the whole range of dye loads necessary to create the broad shade portfolio. Ceteth-10 Phosphate is used to create a gel network, which is a particular type of cream structure. Additionally Ceteth-10 Phosphate helps to keep the cream structure of the colorant constant when mixed with a developer.

Cetrimonium Chloride is mainly used in hair conditioning products. It is used to increase the softness or smoothness of hair, reduce tangles and hair surface roughness. It also function as an antistatic cosmetic ingredient and reduces static electricity by neutralizing electrical charge on the hair surface. This helps to prevent frizz that is caused by static.

Chamomile Recutita (Matricaria) Flower Extract is often used in skin care formulations for its soothing and anti-inflammatory effects. We use it in some of our shampoos (also Anti-Dandruff Shampoos), Conditioners and cleansing lotions. It has also shown to offer wound healing and natural skin moisturizing benefits to the skin.

Chitosan is used in various styling products where it forms a clear, elastic film on hair, increasing its softness and mechanical strength.As Chitosan is known to be non-toxic, antibacterial, antiviral and anti-allergen it is used, amongst others in the medical sector, i.e. as lipid adsorbens, as dietary supplement, in toothpaste, as additive in the paper industry and as flocculation additive in beverage industry.

Cholesterol is used in some of our hair care and pre-treatment products, esp. sun lotions / sprays and pre-perm-treatments. They are designed to repair and rehydrate respectively protect the hair from damage caused by sunlight or perm application.Commonly Cholesterol is used in cosmetics as an emulsifying, softening, nourishing stabilizing and viscosity controlling ingedient.

'Chondrus Crispus (Carrageenan) Extract is used as Emulsion Stabilizer, Hair Conditioner, Film former and Viscosity Controlling in products.Chondrus Crispus (Carrageenan) Extract is used as a thickener and stabilizer in milk products such as ice cream and processed foods.

Citric Acid helps to preserve products by binding unwanted metal (ions) by inhibiting any metal initiating reaction.Citric acid is used to buffer and adjust the pH of a formulation to ensure a product's pH is at a desired level for product stability and consumer safety.

Citrus Aurantifolia (Lime) Fruit Extract moisturizing, soothing, anti-bacterial, tonifying and refreshing properties and due to its content of sugar and α-hydroxyacids. These active compounds give Lime Fruit Extract properties, which make it adequate for any hydrating cosmetic formulation, especially hair care formulations.Citrus preparations are said to have antiseptic, astringent, and refreshing characteristics and are very popular when applied as masks.

Commonly Citrus Aurantium Dulcis (Orange) Fruit Extract is on the ingredient list for its mild, natural exfoliate properties. It contains mainly citric acid and some malic acid, AHA exfoliate known for their skin renewing properties. Orange Fruit is known to be loaded with lots of other active compounds such as the antioxidant vitamin C and Flavonoids, bringing antioxidant, and anti-inflammatory effects. The Orange Extract also contains carbohydrates, aka sugars (mostly glucose, fructose, and sucrose, but also some bigger polysaccharides such as pectin) giving the ingredient some moisturizing properties wherefore it is used in Haire Care products like Shampoos, Conditioners and Masks.

Citrus Limon (Lemon) Fruit Extract contains Citric Acid, it is commonly used as a natural, mild exfoliater. Citrus fruits are chemically complex mixtures with a bunch of other active components such as vitamin C, flavonoids, phenolics, carbohydrates and essential oil (this latter one coming from the rind of the fruit, but still present in some amount in the fruit extract). These have the potential to give lemon extract antioxidant, antibacterial, anti-dandruff, venotonic and moisturizing properties, wherefore we us it in Shampoos, Conditioners and sun protection products for hair.

Citrus Nobilis (Mandarin Orange) Fruit Extract is rich in the natural polymethoxylated flavone, Tangeretin that exhibits a number of important bioactive uses in skin care, i.e. protecting the skin from enzymes that can degrade skin collagen. Due to its astringent, anti-inflammatory, antioxidant and cooling qualities it is used in Shampoos as well as in Hair styling sun protection and after sun products.

Climbazole prevents microbial growth. Preservatives help the cosmetic formula to remain safe and prevent alteration over time.

Cocamide MEA increases foaming capacity and/or stabilizes foam whereby we use it in some of our shampoos. Cocamide MEA is also used to thicken the aqueous (water) portion of cosmetic and personal care products. In Hair colorants we use this material as pH adjuster.

Cocamidopropyl Betaine is used mainly as surfactant to improve foaming and hair cleaning properties in shampoo. Cocamidopropyl Betaine may also help to adjust the viscosity of a product or function as an antistatic.

Cocamidopropyl Hydroxysultaine helps to keep skin and hair soft and supple by working as a conditioner. It creates a creamy lather with less potential for damage to the outermost layer of skin.In some of our styling products we use due to its Hair conditioning and anti-static properties.

Coceth-10 is used in hair color emulsions, bath oils, solubilized systems, perfume oil or pigment dispersions, conditioners/ scalp treatments and hair styling products. It acts as a nonionic solubilizing and emulsifier.

Coco-Betaine is used as surfactants in hair care such as shampoos and foams products. It helps to clean hair by helping water to mix with oil and dirt so that they can be rinsed away. In Hair Styling products it is used due to its hair conditioning and anti-static properties.

Coco-Glucoside is used mainly as surfactant to improve foaming and hair cleaning properties in shampoos.

Cocos Nucifera (Coconut) Fruit Extract is known to make hair smooth and to moisturize the hair. In our products we use Coconut Fruit Extract in a botanical blend due to its nourishing, cleansing and moisturizing benefits and in the combination with other botanicals it is used to give the hair sheen, strength, and health.It is also used in Skin and Baby Care and in Personal Cleanliness Products.

Cocos Nucifera (Coconut) Oil is known to produce a soft feeling on the skin, without being greasy. Further, it helps to make hair smooth and to moisturize the hair.

Copernicia Cerifera (Carnauba) Wax helps to keep an emulsion from separating into its oil and liquid components, especially in cosmetics and personal care products that require a creamy consistency.

Creatine is meant to increase the softness/smoothness and moisture of hair, to reduce tangles and to reduce surface roughness. Therefore it is used in shampoos, conditioners, styling products and pre-treatments before chemical processing like coloring.As it represents a beneficial active ingredient for topical use in the prevention and treatment of human skin aging it can usually be found in Anti-Aging and skin soothing products as well as in moisturizers and after-sun products.

'Cucurbita Pepo (Pumpkin) Seed Extract is used in shampoo, conditioner and skin care. It is known to make skin glow as well as look healthy. Pumpkin Seed has been found to stimulate collagen in the skin, help inhibit other factors that would cause the collagen to deteriorate, and smoothen skin from fine lines and wrinkles. The seeds also contain Cucurbitin, a unique amino acid that may be responsible for pumpkin seeds' effects on hair growth. It's also used as a food additive.Pumpkin Seed Extract is known to offers nourishing, anti-acne, anti-oxidant, exfoliating, healing, nutritive and moisturizing benefits.

Cyamopsis Tetragonoloba (Guar) Gum is used in our non-oxidative, herbal Hair Colorants to give the product the desired consistency for application. It can also be found in bath products, hair care products, shaving preparations and skin care products.

Cyclohexasiloxane as a Hair Conditioner is meant to increase the softness or smoothness of hair, reduce tangles and surface roughness. Most Conditioners sit on the surface of hair. Cyclohexasiloxane as a Skin conditioner enhances the appearance of dry or damaged skin by reducing flaking and restoring suppleness.Cyclohexasiloxane as an Emollient softens dry, rough, flakey skin, making it look and feel better. Cyclohexasiloxane as a solvent is an ingredient employed to dissolve components found useful in cosmetics or drugs.
