Genamin STAC / Steartrimonium Chloride is mainly used in our Styling and Perm/ Straightener products as it prevents or inhibits the build-up of a static. It also help to form emulsions by reducing the surface tension of the substances to be emulsified and help to distribute or to suspend an insoluble solid in a liquid.

Glucose has water-binding properties for skin so it acts as Humectant and Skin Conditioner.On hair Glucose acts as an effective Film Former and can make your hair feel sticky or stiff, e.g. in Sugar Spray.

Glutamic Acid functions primarily as hair conditioner. In conjunction with other conditioner it increases the softness and the smoothness of hair, reduces tangles and surface roughness. It helps leaving hair manageable and easy to comb in wet and dry stage.

Glycerin in acts as a solvent as well as a humectant in our hair color products. It both helps to carry dyes into hair and helps to build viscosity and stickiness due to its ability to attract water. To some extent it offers skin protection and hydration.

Glyceryl Oleate is part of human hair lipids. Once adsorbed by the hair, it reduces roughness, thus decreases combing force of wet hair and enhances hair gloss.Moreover it helps to form emulsions by reducing the surface tension of the substances to be emulsified.

Glyceryl Stearate SE is an anionic co-emulsifier used to build the consistency of the color cream, particularly to support its spreadability on hair.

Glycine is basically used as hair conditioner as it leaves hair manageable, soft and tangle free as well as easy to comb in wet and dry stage.

Glycine Soja (Soybean) Oil is a good oil for skin and hair care products. It functions as hair conditioner and can also be used also as solvent for lipids. It has moisturizing properties as well.

Glycol Distearate is mainly used as opacifier. It basically gives a pearlescent effect to the product to enhance increase the visual appearance of the products.It is also used to increase the viscosity in cream and lotion products.

'Glycyrrhiza Glabra (Licorice) Root Extract is emollient and soothing to the skin. It helps to open the pores and allows the other cleansing and healing herbs to penetrate the skin. Licorice Extract also suppresses the secretion of scalp sebum for a week after shampooing, thereby positioning that oily sheen.  Further Licorice Extract is known to act as an antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, clarifying, perfuming, smoothing and bleaching.

Glyoxylic Acid is mainly used in straightening products as the carboxylic and aldehyde groups of glyoxylic acid react with the amine groups present in hair keratin resulting in the formation of stable bonds. Thus provides long lasting relaxing effect of hair fibres, without causing damage to the hair and scalp irritations typical of alkaline chemical and other straightening ingredients.Glyoxylic Acid is used to adjust the pH of a formulation to ensure a product's pH is at a desired level for product stability and consumer safety.

We use Green 6 in some of our Styling products where it imparts a greenish color to the product.

Guar Hydroxypropyltrimonium Chloride forms a "free breathing" film on hair and skin, and generates good protection, moisturization, conditioning, lightweight feel, shiny, soft, healthy looking hair.It's a unique naturally-derived solution for oil-based and silicone-free shampoos offering conditioning performance even in sulfate-free formulations.Improves conditioning of hair in both the wet and dry state. This is due to the fact that its cationic charge makes the product substantive to anionic surfaces such as hair and skin.
