Wella Company welcomes Malaika L. Myers to the Board of Directors

Wella Company is pleased to welcome Malaika L. Myers to Wella Company’s Board as our newest non-executive Director. Malaika is a seasoned human resources leader with extensive experience across consumer, hospitality, and life sciences sectors with a proven track record working with multinational, entrepreneurial and PE-backed companies.

Since 2017, Malaika has served as EVP and Chief Human Resources Officer for Hyatt Hotels Corporation, the global hospitality company. In her role, Malaika is responsible for Hyatt’s human capital and talent strategy and works as a member of the Executive Committee to develop and execute the overall business strategy. She previously served as SVP, HR for Jarden Corporation, a global consumer products company. Before Jarden, she served as CHRO for Arysta LifeScience Corp., where she led the HR function through a transition in their operating model and worked to prepare the company for an IPO/acquisition. Earlier, Malaika served in senior human resources roles at Diageo PLC and spent 10 years with PepsiCo. She started her career with FMC Corporation.

In addition to her broad human resources and talent management expertise, Malaika also works closely with the Hyatt Board on matters relating to DE&I. With the appointment of Malaika to the Wella Company Board, our gender representation increases to 58% women.

Since February 2019, Malaika has served as a Non-Executive Director on the privately held Board of Cielo, the world's leading strategic Recruitment Process Outsourcing (RPO) partner. Outside of her corporate Board work, Malaika is a member of the Board of Directors for Skills for Chicagoland’s Future, a member of the AHLA (American Hotel & Lodging Association) DE&I Taskforce, and the Advisory Council for ForWard – Women Advancing Hospitality.
