OPI Rereleases Celebrated Cult Classic Shades Plus New Remixes of Iconic Hues with OPI’s Most Requested Collection for Fall 2026

08.31.2026

To commemorate its 45th anniversary, OPI is opening the vault and bringing cult classic nail colors like Every Month is Oktoberfest, Route Beer Float and Mrs. O’ Leary’s BBQ out of retirement and back into the spotlight with the OPI’s Most Requested Collection for Fall 2026. With a palette of saturated crèmes and shimmers, vault favorites are paired with fresh remixes of iconic colors for 12 new permanent shades matched in GelColor, Nail Lacquer and Powder Perfection, plus 12 new permanent shades in Infinite Shine. OPI is also releasing new artificial nail designs for Fall 2026—including 12 xPRESS/ON options, six Sticking Point™ Instant No Glue Press-ons, four ULTA-exclusive Sticking Point designs, five Walmart-exclusive Sticking Point designs, eight On Point™ Instant Press-On Mani options, and two Walmart-exclusive On Point options—inspired by the vault collection and OPI’s new and classic iconic shades.

Straight from the vault, inky purples (Every Month is Oktoberfest, Lincoln Park at Midnight, Louvre Me Louvre Me Not) and shades of crimson and burgundy (Vampire State Building, Vodka & Caviar, Mrs. O’Leary’s BBQ) bring supernatural dark shades and sophisticated reds to the collection. Quietly confident neutrals (Mod About You Pastel, Route Beer Float) ground the palette while bright pink and cranberry hues (It’s All Greek to Me, Koala Bear-y, Deer Valley Spice) add fun, bold color. The collection’s vault offerings are rounded out with standout hues of bronzed brown (Espresso Your Style) and dark gray-green (Nein! Nein! Nein! Okay Fine!).

Along with these favorites, the Fall 2026 collection includes fresh new shades—with an elevated twist—inspired by classic colors. Soft pinks and nudes (Suzi Take a Vow, France-y Seeing You Here, Throw Me a Wink, Berlin There, Doin’ That, Still Going Strong, Boots in Barcelona, I’m the Bossa Nova Now) balance hues of dark navy shimmer (Don’t Over Ink It), sparkly taupe (My Private Yacht), red shimmer (Malaga Wine Not?) and dusky purple (Reign or Shine).

"Every year, OPI retires select shades to make room for new launches. Inevitably, somebody’s favorite shade is gone from the lineup—forever,” remarks OPI Co-Founder and Brand Ambassador Suzi Weiss-Fischmann. “To commemorate our 45th anniversary, we’re opening the vault and bringing back 13 of the most-demanded retired shades—cult classics that OPI fans have been asking about for years—with the OPI’s Most Requested Collection.

“If I had to choose the shades that I’m most excited to see return, it would have to be Louvre Me Louvre Me Not and Deer Valley Spice,” continues Weiss-Fischmann. “Louvre Me Louvre Me Not instantly transports me back to Paris, where a visit to the Louvre—filled with artifacts from the French monarchy—inspired this regal shade. Deer Valley Spice brings me back to the first place I learned to ski; I spent more time on the ground than upright, but it’s a special memory, nonetheless. I love how these shades have the power to instantly transport me to a different time and place, and I love hearing how so many OPI fans have a similar experience. If there’s an occasion in life to be remembered or celebrated, there’s an OPI nail lacquer for it, and by bringing these shades back, we’re not just reconnecting consumers with favorite colors, but with moments in time as well.”

"We can’t wait to share these fan favorites, along with reimagined icons—new soon-to-be-favorites,” states OPI Global Director of Color Equity Jill Bartoshevich. “Nail Lacquer hero shade Every Month is Oktoberfest was first launched in 2012 as part of the Germany Collection. This dark violet with reflective red shimmer is perfect for the fall season. GelColor hero shade Route Beer Float was originally released in 1997 as part of the Route 66 Collection. A deep brown with mauve undertones and a unique shimmer finish, this shade is the oldest one we’re pulling from the vault and is such a distinctive neutral unlike anything else in the OPI range. Powder Perfection hero shade Vodka & Caviar is a vibrant crimson. OPI is known for its outstanding reds, and this one is no exception.

“There are also two Infinite Shine hero shades: Mrs. O’Leary’s BBQ and My Private Yacht,” adds Bartoshevich. “Mrs. O’Leary’s BBQ is a vampy burgundy red that launched in 2005 as part of the Chicago Collection and is such a chic, elevated fall hue. My Private Yacht is a new shade, inspired by My Private Jet, and features a stunning light taupe finish to contrast My Private Jet’s glittery black glam.”
