Peter Coles

Peter Coles has served as Chief Scientific Officer of The Wella Company since October 2020 and is responsible for all hair and nail research and development.
Prior to The Wella Company’s acquisition, he served as Senior Vice President, Professional Beauty R&D, at Coty. Before joining Coty, Mr. Coles spent more than 25 years in various R&D leadership roles at Procter & Gamble, a multinational consumer goods company.

Mr. Coles has worked in the beauty category for the past 13 years and is based at the Darmstadt Innovation Center in Germany. An R&D veteran, he has worked across three business categories, lived on three continents, and amassed extensive global experience. Mr. Coles holds a Master of Engineering degree from Newcastle University in the United Kingdom.
