OPI Celebrates 45 Years with The New OPIcons Collection for Spring 2026
For 45 years, OPI has created bestselling, globally renowned nail shades, from Funny Bunny and Big Apple Red to Lincoln Park After Dark and Strawberry Margarita. To celebrate this major anniversary, OPI launches the OPIcons Collection for Spring 2026, featuring remixed versions of some of the brand’s most iconic colors. OPIcons includes 12 shades color matched in Nail Lacquer, GelColor Intelli-Gel System™, and Powder Perfection formulas (for the first time ever!), 12 additional shades in Infinite Shine, as well as 11 xPRESS/ON press on sets.
With a palette of saturated crèmes and shimmers, consider this new collection a love letter to the shades that fans have made iconic over the decades. Rose, hot pink and bright fuchsia hues (Bathtime Bubbly, Strawberry Cosmo, Pompeii Pink, Passion-ista, Good Nighty Aphrodite, I’m Not Really an Influencer) draw on classic favorites Bubble Bath, Strawberry Margarita, Pompeii Purple, Passion, Aphrodite’s Pink Nightie, and I’m Not Really a Waitress, while bold corals (Shrimp Cocktail, Shock Em Orange) give a nod to Cajun Shrimp and Shock Em Red.
Grounding neutrals in shades of shimmery white, pale pink and greige (Kyoto Oyster, OPI’m a Bubble Bunny, Put it in Airplane Mode, You Don’t Know Suzi) are inspired by some of the brand’s most notable shades, including Kyoto Pearl (originally launched in 1989), Bubble Bath, Funny Bunny, Put It in Neutral, and You Don’t Know Jacques!
Shades of purple ranging from soft and moody lavenders to shimmery burgundy (Mod About Me, Lincoln Park After Brunch, Lavender Bath, What’s Not to Lilac?) are purple-toned versions of popular hues Mod About You, Lincoln Park After Dark, Bubble Bath and Do You Lilac It?. Blue and green shades of shimmering turquoise, emerald, sage and blue-gray (Sea Me Now, Big Apple Green, Oh Baby!, Less is More) offer reimagined versions of Do You Sea What I Sea?, Big Apple Red, It’s a Girl! & It’s a Boy! and Less is Norse.
The collection is rounded out with butter yellow Sunny Bunny inspired by Funny Bunny, shimmery peach Queens Rule inspired by Princesses Rule!, cherry red shimmer Big Apple Energy inspired by Big Apple Red and creamy apricot Dulce de Latte inspired by Dulce de Leche.
“For 45 years, OPI has been in the business of inspiring our consumers,” remarks OPI Co-Founder and Brand Ambassador Suzi Weiss-Fischmann. “When I first started exploring the world of nail color, I felt that it didn’t offer people anything personal or relevant to their lives, with basic colors and generic, one-size-fits-all names. But I’ve always had an unshakeable belief in the transformative power of color, especially as a vehicle to express freedom, joy and empowerment. I wanted our consumers to have the entire rainbow at their fingertips through OPI.
“The OPIcons Collection is a celebration of this heritage,” continues Weiss-Fischmann. “Our name, logo, iconic bottle, incredible formulas and colorful contents have become a messenger of beauty and inspiration. I love hearing about the emotional connections our shades have forged, and with this collection, we’re turning to our most iconic hues to create new favorites.”
“We’re so excited to unveil these new colors in celebration of our 45th anniversary,” elaborates OPI Global Director of Color Equity Jill Bartoshevich. “Nail Lacquer/GelColor/Powder Perfection hero shade OPI’m a Bubble Bunny brings together two of the most-requested neutrals of all time — Bubble Bath and Funny Bunny — in a soft, milky hue with the slightest hint of pink. This shade was born out of the viral trend of combining two coats of Funny Bunny and one coat of Bubble Bath, illustrating the full-circle effect of our brand inspiring a community, who in-turn inspires the brand. The second trend shade in these formulas, Queens Rule, is a shimmery peach — the “grown-up” version of its shimmery bubblegum pink inspiration, Princesses Rule!
“There are also two Infinite Shine hero shades: Kyoto Oyster and I’m Not Really an Influencer,” adds Bartoshevich. “These two are especially symbolic: Kyoto Oyster is a more iridescent version of its inspiration, Kyoto Pearl, which is from the first-ever OPI color launch. I’m Not Really an Influencer is inspired by one of our best-known shades, I’m Not Really a Waitress, and is a super vibrant, energetic fuchsia — a classic in the making.”
